Effective Teaching and Learning Practices

Effective Teaching and Learning Practices

Rypple is delighted to provide Australian schools with quality, free online professional
learning to support student engagement utilising the Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL)
framework. This PL includes eight sessions on Effective Teaching and Learning Practices in
classrooms to increase student engagement and social and behavioral success.

Effective Teaching and Learning Practices

ETLPs are low-intensity, easy to implement, and highly effective in
supporting positive student behaviour and engagement.
Teacher use of ETLPs increases the likelihood of student engagement,
minimises behaviour disruptions, and improves outcomes for students.

Rypple has researched and developed an online PL model to support teachers in using
effective, empirically supported Effective Teaching and Learning Practices (ETLPs).

The multi-component PD model developed by Rypple includes delivery through online workshops, which incorporate:
– active learning
– modelling
– planning for classroom practice.

Teacher Toolkit to support implementation which includes:
– teacher skill fact sheets
– links to online resources
– peer coaching and observation tools

This PL is FREE for all Australian school staff

Eight sessions on ETLPs will be delivered live via Zoom. Each of these sessions will be repeated
in a morning, midday and afternoon session to make it easier for school staff to attend

Resources from the live sessions will be freely available on the Rypple website.

This has been designed as an easy to use professional learning resource that schools can
provide to their whole staff, at times that best suit them.
